Something moved that shouldn't, or didn't move

Open the creation and choose Brush. Paint Sky, Water or Trees & Plants where something should move, switch to Erase where it shouldn't, or paint Keep Still over anything that should never move. Smart edges keeps the brush inside what you start on.

Setting up the AI

ANIMATE IT makes its videos with an AI that runs on your iPhone. It's downloaded once (about 7 GB, free), best over Wi-Fi, and keeps downloading in the background. Find it in Settings › AI. It needs iPhone 15 Pro or later.

How long does a video take?

A few minutes, depending on your iPhone and the length you choose. The making screen shows how long is left. Keep ANIMATE IT open until it finishes; your screen stays on while it works. If you leave mid-way, it offers to make it again when you come back.

The motion is too strong or too subtle

In Motion, choose what moves, pick Calm, Natural or Lively, then tap Make Video. Speed changes instantly. Each new take is a fresh variation, so try another if you'd like a different one.

It says it needs more memory

Close a few apps, or restart your iPhone, then tap Make Video again.

Saving to Photos

If saving says it needs permission, open Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › ANIMATE IT and choose Add Photos Only or Full Access.

Using a creation as your wallpaper

Export it as a Live Photo, open it in Photos, tap Share › Use as Wallpaper.

No sound while editing

Scene sound follows your silent switch. Turn the ringer on, or check Sound › Play while editing.

Restoring purchases

On the Pro screen or in Settings › ANIMATE IT Pro, tap Restore Purchases while signed in to the Apple Account you bought with. To manage or cancel a subscription, go to Settings on your device › your name › Subscriptions.
